What is an Introspective Hypnosis® session like?
In both QHHT® and Introspective Hypnosis®, you’re guided into a natural state of deep relaxation. This allows you to communicate with the part of your consciousness that’s aware of much more than your everyday waking conscious mind, and is a source of wisdom and guidance.
Introspective Hypnosis® sessions may be facilitated in person or remotely, via Zoom.
In Introspective Hypnosis®, we focus on what’s happening now. We’ll explore memories, emotions and patterns affecting your current life. Your subconscious can offer insights and solutions to your symptoms and issues, as well as help release physical or emotional blockages and limiting beliefs.
My role is to be a facilitator, helping you feel comfortable and safe, listening carefully to what you have to say, to learn more about what needs to be addressed, while you’re in that deeply relaxed state.
More about your session
An individual session can last about 3-4 hours. This is in-depth, giving you plenty of time to more fully address the issues you may have. Please don’t plan anything (except rest) for after the session.
Introduction
When we begin, we’ll talk for a while, getting to know each other. We’ll also get a sense of some of your life experiences, physical, emotional or mental issues that are affecting you and discuss any questions you have about the process or session.

Relaxation/trance
If this is an in-person or a Zoom session, you’ll get settled in wherever you are. I’ll make sure you’re comfortable and gently guide you into the deeply relaxed state (theta), where we can work most effectively.
Memories
You’ll be asked to go to memories and visualize or sense various objects or experiences and describe them. The techniques used to address what comes up in a memory vary according to the circumstances.
Past lives (or other experiences)
We visit the past to understand the origin of a symptom or issue you’re experiencing. We’ll explore memories, emotions and patterns affecting your current life. Your subconscious can offer insights and solutions to your symptoms or issues, and help release physical and emotional blockages, as well as limiting beliefs.
You’ll visualize or sense a scenario that can help you better understand something that affects your current life. It may be an earlier memory from from this life (including in the womb), a past life or whatever your soul/consciousness thinks you need to see to complete and release what’s unresolved.
If you have difficulty with the idea of a past life, you can think of it as a story your subconscious uses, to get needed information across to you in a way you can understand.
Your soul/consciousness is protective of your well-being and will never give you more than you can handle.
For a Zoom session:
- You need to be alone.
- Hypnosis sessions are private. NO ONE else is allowed to be in the room.
- Other people (or pets) are a distraction that can interfere with the experience and the results.
- You’ll have a recording from your session and can share it later, if you choose.
- Find a quiet place, where you won’t be interrupted for several hours.

- Laptop (or desktop with camera)
- Headset that covers both ears and has a microphone.
- Furniture:
- Bed, chair or couch – whatever is most comfortable for you.
- Bedding available that can keep you warm. We tend to cool off when we lie down.
- Table or desk for the laptop, positioned near you.
- Tissues
- When you book a Zoom session, I’ll send instructions with further details, so you can prepare.
Post-session
You’ll be guided to waking consciousness, feeling alert and refreshed. Then, we’ll talk about your experiences, beginning the process of integrating what happened and helping to ground you, after being in that higher state of consciousness.
It’s helpful to get more rest than usual after a session. It could take a few days for you to integrate what you experience.
Recording
Usually within a day or two of your session, I’ll send you a link to download the recording of your session. Please download it as soon as possible. There’s limited storage on the drive, so I delete older files as newer ones are added.
The recording is very important, and can be helpful for a long time afterward. You’ll most likely feel that you were aware and remember everything, but the experience fades, like dreams do.
To make the best use of the recording:
- Do NOT listen to the recording while driving!
- Listen to it privately, before sharing it with anyone.
- After the day of the session, listen as soon as you can, at least once. You may be surprised at what you haven’t remembered.
- Some people find it useful to listen to it as they fall asleep.
- Something may not register when you first listen, yet could be just what you need to hear a month (or year, or longer) after your session.
